Meghan Markle's social media return discussed by expert

Meghan Markle has revealed how being a mom is the "most important thing" in her life during a summit on mental health.

Co-hosting the New York City summit with Prince Harry on Tuesday, Meghan discussed how parents can help their children navigate social media. During the talk, Meghan was askied about her "priority list".

Meghan pointed out their children - Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two - aren’t using computers just yet, let alone social media.

But she is aware of the dangers and is “frightened” at the thought of her children engaging online.

TODAY’s Carson Daly moderated the panel, asking Meghan: "As a mom of two young kids, after the stories that we heard today from these families that you've gotten to know over the past year and the work that Archewell is doing in this space, where is this on the priority list, not as a kick-ass woman, but as a mom? Excuse my French!”

Without missing a beat, Meghan responded to the question, saying: "Being a mom is the most important thing in my entire life — outside, of course, being a wife to this one."

She added: "But I will say I feel fortunate that our children are at an age, again quite young, so this isn't in our immediate future, but I also feel frightened at how it's continuing to change and this will be in front of us."

E! News put together a video montage of some of Meghan’s Proud Mom moments, like presenting Archie to the world when just two days old, traveling to Africa with Archie when still a baby, Meghan reading Duck Rabbit to Archie on his first birthday, and Archie leaning how to speak, saying “fun”, “happy” and “new” during the Archewell podcast.

Archie became a big brother in 2021 when Lilibet was born. Hello! magazine has captured some of the family moments, like the first time the world met Lilibet was on a family Christmas card. And her first birthday, which was at the same time as the Platinun Jubilee celebrations. Meghan and Harry made her day special with a picnic in the back garden of their home.

In the Netflix series, Harry & Meghan, we hear Archie say, “I have a dirty foot, mama. Because I was with you” and dad Harry breaks into laughter. There were also candid moments of Lilibet crawling in the grass, decked out with a pink bow in her hair. And then walking, with the help of mom and dad, each on one side of their little girl, holding her hand. There’s also a sweet moment of Meghan feeding chickens with Lilibet strapped to her chest in a carrier.

In 2020, Meghan and Harry moved to the U.S. to be be closer to Meghan’s mother, who lives in LA.
