Red Bull's driver Max Verstappen had a fantastic season, winning his third consecutive F1 World Championship. And his impressive performance on the track earned him a whopping $25 million bonus - more than some of his rival drivers.

Verstappen, the 26-year-old Red Bull driver, has had an incredible year in Formula 1. He ended the season with 19 wins and 21 podium finishes, securing his third World Championship title.

Not only is Verstappen leading the pack on the track, but he's also topping the list when it comes to earnings. According to Forbes, Verstappen's total salary for the season was a staggering $70 million, including a base salary of $45 million and a bonus of $25 million.

Verstappen's record-breaking season, which saw him win 19 races and lead the standings by 290 points, certainly justifies his hefty bonus. This performance surpasses his previous record of 15 wins last season and far exceeds Sebastian Vettel's 155-point lead in 2013.

Lewis Hamilton, the star of Mercedes, is not far behind with a hefty $55 million in his pocket after the year's end. Despite finishing third with six podium finishes and no wins, Hamilton's salary was $10 million more than his competitors, but he didn't receive any bonus payments.

In third place is Fernando Alonso, the seasoned driver from Aston Martin. The Spanish driver had eight podium finishes and was rewarded with £34 million for his efforts a base salary of $24 million and an additional $ 10 million in bonuses.

Sergio Perez, Verstappen's Red Bull teammate who finished second in the season's rankings with two wins and nine podiums, comes in fourth with a total of $26 million. Charles Leclerc of Ferrari rounds out the top five with a combined salary of $19 million, $6 million less than Verstappen's bonus.

The rest of the top ten highest earners include Lando Norris ($15 million), Carlos Sainz ($14 million), George Russell ($9 million), Pierre Gasly ($8 million) and Oscar Piastri ($8 million).

Despite having the highest earnings of the season, Verstappen still trails several other famous sports personalities. Earlier this year, a Forbes report revealed the world's highest-paid athletes under 25, with Verstappen making the list after turning 26 months after the report.

Kylian Mbappe, the forward for Paris Saint-Germain and France, topped the list with $120 million. Kyler Murray, the quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals, came in second with a total of $70.5 million earned.

Verstappen's whopping $64 million earnings landed him in third place, followed by Manchester City's Erling Haaland ($52 million) and NBA star Luka Doncic ($47.2 million).
