Mariah Carey announces Christmas tour amid her 'furious' reaction to Cher's album
Mariah Carey is giving fans all they want for Christmas as she was reportedly left "furious" when Cher teased her fans about releasing a festive album.
Mariah Carey thrilled her fans on Tuesday as the 54-year-old revealed she’ll be taking her iconic Christmas tunes on the road, even poking fun at her own status as a harbinger of the festive season.
For decades the All I Want For Christmas singer has dominated the charts during the holiday season and seemingly hopes to continue her run despite Cher’s new album plans.
Mariah revealed her upcoming tour dates on X, writing: “Yes, the actual defrosting has begun!
“Announcing the MERRY CHRISTMAS ONE AND ALL Tour!”
While tickets only go on sale on Friday October 6, fans were already whipped into a frenzy by the announcement as her last tour was in 2019 with her album Caution.

The Merry Christmas One And All tour will feature tracks from her festive albums Merry Christmas and Merry Christmas II You.
Starting on November 15, Mariah kicks off her new tour with two shows in California and travels to Colorado and Missouri before heading into Canada for two shows.
She returns to the US on December 1st in Michigan before going to Illinois, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Maryland and ending in New York on December 17th.
The poster also featured the phrase: “The holiday tradition returns,” referring to Mariah’s four concerts last December as part of her Merry Christmas To All residency.

The announcement comes after the singer was reportedly left furious at Cher’s plans to follow in her footsteps with her own Christmas-themed album.
Mariah, who ranks for many as the Queen of Christmas music, has held ranks at the top of holiday charts since her 1994 hit but was allegedly fuming that Cher’s announcement could dethrone her according to Radar Online.
The Christmas album will undoubtedly draw fans as it will be Cher’s first original album in a decade, after Closer to the Truth released in 2013, and her very first Christmas album.
The 77-year-old’s new work is set to be released on October 20.
