An Israeli mom has posted a video of the moment she was reunited with her two young daughters after they were taken to Gaza by Hamas terrorists.

Maayan Zin's nightmare ended 51 days after her daughters Dafna, 15, and Ela, 8, were kidnapped on October 7. Ms. Zin previously spoke to Daily Express US about the horrific ordeal that has finally come to an end.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the mom posted a video showing the moment she got to see her children - Ela leaps into her mom's arms before the three hug each other tightly.

Speaking to Daily Express US, Maayan said: "After a long period in which I lived in terrible uncertainty, my daughters are finally with me.

"These were 51 days in which I lived between despair and hope, between pain and optimism, and I am happy that now I am here with them. The girls are returning to a new and complex situation, and now we have a period of recovery that will take time.

"The moment will come to thank everyone who was around me and supported me, and everyone who helped to cry out my cry in the country and the world.

It is a joy mixed with sadness. Joy for my daughters who are here and sadness for those who have not yet returned. My heart will not be whole again until everyone returns home safely."

As of Sunday, Hamas has released 58 out of 240 hostages taken. Those released included 40 Israelis and 18 foreign nationals, including an American child. Earlier, an American mom and daughter were also released.

The release of the hostages comes as part of a temporary truce between Israel and Hamas who have been fighting since the latter sent terrorists into Israel - some 1,200 people were killed the majority of which were civilians.

More than 14,000 people have died in Gaza since the fighting began, according to the Hamas-run health ministry. The four-day truce has now been extended until Wednesday.

With that extension comes the hope that more hostages will be released and more aid will reach Gaza. Israel has also released Palestinian prisoners held in the country as part of the deal.

While the UN is hopeful that the truce will lead to a permanent ceasefire, Israel has vowed to continue to attack Hamas until the terror group is completely destroyed.
