Lana Del Rey wrote a “simple song” for "a friend,” titled "Margaret," on her newest ninth studio album 'Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd' released this spring. But who is "Margaret?"

The thirteenth album track, which features Lana’s producer Jack Antonoff, is written about Antonoff’s newly-wed wife actress Margaret Qualley.

“… [In the] delightfully rom-com-esque ‘Margaret,’ we learn that The One is not a myth,” Rolling Stone wrote about the track upon its release.

“It was written for Antonoff’s fiancé [now wife] Margaret Qualley as the kind of song that could hypothetically be played at their wedding.”

While we don’t know if the song was played, we do know that the couple tied the knot at the end of August in Antonoff’s home state of New Jersey, where Lana was one of many major stars including Taylor Swift who was in attendance.

The song's lyrics appear to describe how Antonoff met the actress, and how they swiftly fell in love. The lyric's read: "He met Margaret on our rooftop, she was wearing white and he was like, 'I might be in trouble'.

"He had flashes of the good life, he was like, 'Should I jump off this building now or do it on the double?'"

The song's chorus repeats: “When you know, you know.”

In a recent interview with Harper’s BAZAAR, Qualley spoke for the first time about being a muse for the mysterious musician.

“Having a song written about me by Lana was just like a crazy, beautiful, mind-blowing experience,” Qualley told Harper’s BAZAAR. “I love Lana so much. I think she’s just like the very best artist and such a beautiful person.”

Qualley adds: “[Lana is] one of the most giving people I’ve ever met. Like she lights up the room, but she also lights up every single person in the room.”

“[Lana Del Rey] makes me feel like my life’s a movie.”
