Krispy Kreme has announced it is offering fans a sweet deal for the donut chain's Day of the Dozens in a bid to spread the holiday cheer.

The popular donut chain notified donut lovers on December 7th that it would be offering customers a dozen original glazed donuts for just $1.

Fans wishing to partake in the special deal must first purchase a dozen donuts of any type, or 16-count Minis at the regular price.

The offer will then be available for purchases in-store, at the drive-thru, or online for pickup or delivery, using the promo code “DOZEN”.

The doughnut brand is also encouraging shoppers to celebrate the deal on X - formerly known as Twitter - and Instagram, using #DayofDozens and tagging @krispykreme.

The 12 donuts for $1 deal will exclusively be offered on December 12th, with Krispy Kreme stores in Puerto Rico exempt from the holiday special.

It comes as the donut brand recently marked the beginning of the festive season with the first-of-its-kind Elf holiday collection.

The limited-edition assortment was launched on November 24 in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the film Elf, which starred Will Ferrell.

Krispy Kreme fans have been given the choice of three limited-time donut flavours; Buddy Snow Globe, Buddy Makes Breakfast, and Christmas Lights.

Buddy Snow Globe is an authentic glazed donut dipped in blue icing and topped with white sprinkles and chocolate elf pieces. Buddy Makes Breakfast is topped with spaghetti-looking icing caramel drizzle and additional sprinkles.

The chocolate–iced donut that resembles a Christmas tree was appropriately named Christmas Lights.

“Our new ‘Elf ’-inspired doughnuts honor memorable moments from the movie in the most delicious way possible and embody its fun and festive spirit,” said Dave Sknew, global chief brand officer for Krispy Kreme, in a press release.

The company didn’t specify when the flavors would no longer be available, but they’ll likely be available for the festive season only.
