King Charles's feud with Prince Andrew over Royal Lodge set to 'end in tears'

Prince William and Prince Harry are not the only royal brothers feuding. According to a royal insider, Charles and Andrew's disagreement over Royal Lodge is "going to end in tears."

King Charles and Prince Andrew's ongoing feud shows no signs of abating as the brothers have been warned their row could all end in tears.

King Charles has let Andrew stay in Royal Lodge, located in Berkshire, England.

The term “lodge” is a bit of an understatement, with the household actually being a 30-room mansion, and that’s the source of the problem. Andrew isn’t equipped to take care of the property.

There has been talk of financial instability and the plan is for Andrew to move into Frogmore Cottage instead.

A royal insider has shared his thoughts on the matter: "No one, not least His Majesty, believes there is any realistic, long-term chance of the Duke of York being able to keep the roof at Royal Lodge over his head.”

He explains what he means by that: “It's a massive property and estate that requires a huge amount of upkeep.”

Another insider predicts the outcome: “In all honesty, I would not expect to see the Duke of York living at Royal Lodge in the long term.”

The insider's prediction goes a step further, suggesting it could get personal: "This will all probably end in tears. Most likely his (Andrew).”

Andrew recently spent £200,000 on roof repairs, which was referred to as an “interim payment,” to secure lodging. While a hefty amount, it’s really only a drop in the bucket when it comes to maintaining such a substantial space. It’s been suggested that Prince Andrew move into Frogmore Cottage, also in Berkshire, which would be more manageable (10 bedrooms).

The Cottage is adjacent to Windsor Castle — that's nothing to sneeze at.

Charles was just in Scotland and was spotted chatting with mountain bikers about the landscaping and properties of Balmoral. He's very hands-on and... protective (when it comes to upkeep).
