Kevin Spacey allegations 'will stick' as expert warns Hollywood star's 'days are done'

EXCLUSIVE: Kevin Spacey will likely make a return to Hollywood after being cleared of nine sex offences, but he'll "never return to the level of fame he had prior to the allegations", film industry experts tell Daily Express US.

Kevin Spacey found not guilt of nine charges

Kevin Spacey's award-winning Hollywood glory days "are done" after appearing in court over sex allegations, claims a movie PR expert.

The House of Cards actor, 64, was today cleared of nine sex offences as he broke down in the courtroom in London, England.

He was accused of sexually assaulting four men between 2001 and 2013.

After 12 hours and 26 minutes, the jury panel acquitted Spacey of seven counts of sexual assault, one count of causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent and one count of causing a person to engage in penetrative sexual activity without consent.

But despite being cleared, leading industry experts warn Daily Express US that the allegations against Spacey "will stick" for the rest of his life.

PR expert David Triana explained: "Kevin Spacey has already said that there are people ready to hire him the moment he's cleared of the sexual assault allegations, and now that time has come.

"Now, do I think that Spacey's 'comeback' will result in Oscar-nominations or a return to the level of fame he had prior to the allegations? No, I do not.

"I believe that these allegations will stick, despite the ruling by the court, and that the public will always view him in that light going forward."

Revealing if Kevin will ever make it on the big screen again, the Delight Labs account executive added: "While I do think that Spacey will work in Hollywood again, I don't think it will be in the capacity that we all remember."

Triana added: "Those days for him are over.

"He'll work with his friends in the industry and others that have supported him since the allegations first made the rounds several years ago...

"...but I think that's where his self-proclaimed comeback will end."

On the flip side, publicity expert Candice D'Angelo from The Agency East tells Daily Express US: "Kevin Spacey will most definitely be able to rejuvenate his career.

"I believe book deals and documentaries will be how he will be able to reclaim his career. It might take a while to get back into movies but with the right PR team and agent, he’ll be ok!"

After his appearance today, Kevin thanked the jury at Southwark Crown Court for examining "all of the evidence".

Addressing the press gathered outside the court, Mr Spacey said: "I imagine that many of you can understand that there’s a lot for me to process after what has just happened today.

"But I would like to say that I’m enormously grateful to the jury for having taken the time to examine all of the evidence and all of the facts, carefully, before they reached their decision. And I am humbled by the outcome today.

"I also want to thank the staff inside this courthouse, the security, and all those who took care of us every single day, my legal team… for being here every day.

"And that’s all I have to say for the moment. Thank you very much."
