TV presenter Kay Adams had plenty to celebrate on Monday night as her Cincinnati Bengals claimed a surprise victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, although she did have to apologize to fans after getting rather excited as Ja’Marr Chase scored a touchdown. Adams let out a loud shriek on live TV as Chase caught a pass from backup quarterback Jake Browning and took it 76 yards to the house early in the third quarter.

The Bengals eventually snatched a 34-31 victory in overtime with Evan McPherson making the all-important field goal, but the night was marred by an ankle injury for Jags QB Trevor Lawrence, who left the game in the fourth quarter. Yet backup C.J. Beathard thought he had put Jacksonville on the cusp of victory in OT when he connected with Calvin Ridley with a long bomb to the two-yard line, but the play was called back for a controversial holding penalty.

The victory lifted Adams’ Bengals to 6-6 on the season, keeping their hopes of making the playoffs alive despite the wrist injury that will keep superstar QB Burrow on the sidelines for the rest of the campaign. And the 37-year-old, who presented NFL Network’s “Good Morning Football” before moving to FanDuel to launch self-titled sports talk show “Up & Adams”, could not contain her excitement during her appearance on ESPN2 for the “ManningCast” with Peyton and Eli Manning.

As Chase hauled in Browning’s pass and sprinted clear of the pursuing defenders, Adams squealed with excitement, leading several fans to say the same thing on social media. "Kay Adams just broke my speakers," one viewer wrote on X, while another added: “That scream by Kay Adams just woke up my kids and they won’t stop crying.”

Adams quickly moved to apologize when her stint on the watchalong show was over, posting “Sorry everybody” in response to one fan. But it was all fun and games for Adams, who also entertained fans by poking fun at the Manning brothers’ fashion sense. She appeared on the screen wearing a navy blue quarterzip, mimicking Peyton and Eli’s typical get-up for their TV appearances.

Chase’s touchdown was not the only remarkable moment Adams was on air for, being stunned into silence by a bizarre trick play from the Bengals that ended with an interception. Head coach Zac Taylor dialed up a double pass, with wideout Tyler Boyd receiving the ball from Browning.

The plan was for Boyd to throw the ball back across the field with running back Joe Mixon lined up to receive a screen pass, but Boyd resembled a rabbit in the headlights as he stared down his receiver and the pass was badly misjudged, allowing Josh Allen to pick it off, gifting the Jags an immediate redzone opportunity.

It was an eventful night all around for the Manning brothers, who were also joined by Bengals legend Chad Ochocinco and Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa throughout the evening. At one point, Tagovailoa pulled out his guitar and played Eric Clapton’s “Tears In Heaven”, with Peyton singing his play-by-play analysis to the tune.
