President Joe Biden made another embarrassing error during his speech at the annual awards ceremony at the White House.

Mr Biden hosted the event where several famous faces were recognized for their contribution to American culture.

The President was hailing rapper and singer Queen Latifah when he said "she's earned a Golden Globe and a Primetime Enemy", rather than "Emmy."

After realizing he had made the mistake, Mr Biden said: "Enemy?"

Mr Biden then joked: "That's me."

This comes after Mr Biden forgot he when he met Prince Harry.

He said: "Give them a hand. Jill and Prince Harry went to the first Invictus Games in 2014 and the Invictus Games in Ontario, I was there, in 2016 in Toronto. Anyway, there's been great, great, great effort that we've seen."

The Bidens actually met him when they attended the Invictus Games in Toronto back in 2017.

The video footage of his most recent blunder was soon shared online, with a number of people taking the opportunity to mock the President.

X User Jay Baker said: "Biden now available to emcee your next event."

John OD said: "Talk about a Freudian slip."

Porvata added: "Primetime Enemy. Soon to be someone's rap name,"

Another user, @SecritSqrl, said: "'I knew her way way back when she was just Princess Latifa...'

RA22R commented: "Will someone please get him reading glasses??"

Mr Biden will run for the Democrats in the 2024 election and is likely to come up against Donald Trump once again.

According to polling analysis site FiveThirtyEight, the president is currently polling at 67 percent, with his closest contender, Marianne Williamson sitting at seven percent.

Trump is way ahead of his nearest rival for the Republican Party nomination, Ron DeSantis. The former President polls at 60 percent while the Florida Governor sits on 12.6 percent.

The war in Israel and Gaza has caused issues for Mr Biden as groups in the US vow to rally their communities against the President.

A group called the #AbandonBiden campaign group told US news outlet Axios: “This #AbandonBiden 2024 conference is set against the backdrop of the upcoming 2024 presidential election and the decision to withdraw support for President Biden due to his unwillingness to call for a ceasefire and protect innocents in Palestine and Israel."

Jaylani Hussein, director of Minnesota’s Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) chapter, added: "We don’t have two options. We have many options."
