If Joe Biden can’t float, perhaps he can sink his opponent instead, says Peggy Grande

In November 2022, at a post-midterms press conference, President Joe Biden was asked how other world leaders should view this moment for America - not only in regard to the midterm results, but at that time Donald Trump had said he was poised to make a "very big announcement".

We now know that former President Trump would announce he was running for President again.

What President Biden said at that press conference was quite telling and may have set into motion the cascade of prosecutorial events against Donald Trump which we are seeing today.

At that time, Joe Biden said he would make sure Trump doesn’t take power. A bold statement.

“We just have to demonstrate that he will not take power if he does run, making sure he — under legitimate efforts of our Constitution — does not become the next president again,” Biden said. Wow.

Many have accused Donald Trump of inciting the riots and violence of January 6 when he said, “Peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard”. In fact, that was cause for impeachment, as well as a federal indictment.

So where is the equal outrage, the charges, and the blame for Joe Biden? He said he would ensure the democratic process is obstructed to prevent the will of the people from putting Donald Trump back into the Oval Office if indeed he is the nominee, and that is the will of the people in November of 2024. This seems to be much more inciting. It is clearly a call to action for the left, which is being heeded.

There should be great concern about ignoring the rule of law, the removing of protection for freedom of speech, and stripping Donald Trump of his rights - not only as a former president, but as an American citizen. It appears that to the left, the end – preventing Donald Trump from becoming the 47th President of the United States – justifies any means.

The past four months we have seen this plan, activated by Joe Biden’s remarks, play out in real time. With a complicit Department of Justice, led by a defender of the Bidens, not a defender of Justice, Attorney General Merrick Garland, we’ve seen four cases brought against Donald Trump in as many months. Two state indictments from New York and now Georgia, and two Federal cases in Florida and Washington, D.C.

Specifically in the latest political persecution out of Georgia – this is truly an indictment of the left, not of Donald Trump. There has been no curiosity in Georgia for any of the irregularities in the voting system or the concerns which citizens and election officials and observers raised regarding the process following the 2020 election.

There has been no self-reflection on a system which was haphazardly, and perhaps illegally, changed to accommodate a global pandemic, but designed to benefit one party under that cover.

Instead, the blame for the mess is charged to the person who exposed it and complained about it, not those who created it and are responsible for it. Everyone understood massive mail-in ballots are fraught with danger, now Donald Trump is indicted for illuminating what we already knew.

So, Democrat juries could throw the book at Trump in four states, all while ignoring the abundance of evidence coming out about the Biden family crimes.

At the same time, David Weiss, a Biden apologist and recently elevated to Special Counsel, will be working on a report which could potentially block further Congressional inquiry and fully exonerate the Bidens of all wrongdoing.

As the conservative satirical website, The Babylon Bee, aptly quipped this week with a headline, “Democrats Say It’ll Take A Lot More Than Eyewitness Testimony, Bank Records, Audio, Video, and Complete Confessions, For Them to Believe Biden Did Anything Wrong.” So true.

In each of the four cases against Donald Trump, obscure and outdated laws have been resurrected and contorted in ways that will test the legal system to dissect.

But in at least three of these jurisdictions, it is likely that the heavily Democrat districts will produce a jury willing to convict Donald Trump of anything and everything.

Although conviction on one or more counts is likely, the flimsy legal standing on which these cases are built will not hold up under appeal and will surely be overturned.

By then though, the ultimate outcome is irrelevant. The pain of the process was the point. Raise the illusion of criminality by Donald Trump to the voting public, tie up the candidate in court and keep him off the campaign trail, in essence, eliminating Biden’s political competition by ensuring he isn’t available or eligible to even compete.

We know Biden won’t be actively engaged in campaigning, so he wants to ensure that his likely opponent won’t be either.

If Joe Biden can’t manage to successfully launch and float a viable presidential campaign, he is hoping he can sink his opponent instead, accomplishing the same end result. And he’s receiving a lot of help in doing so.
