Jennifer Lopez 'teasing new music' in cryptic tribute to husband Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck celebrated their first wedding anniversary yesterday, with the 54-year-old whipping fans into a frenzy with a cryptic caption. 

The pop singer shared some never-before-seen snaps from her lavish wedding last August as her new husband whisked her away in his arms. 

The blushing bride wore a jaw-dropping figure-hugging white dress with a short veil framing her face and large pearl drop earrings. 

Her grinning groom smiled cheerfully as he carried JLo in his arms, sporting an all-white suit with a quaint black bow tie. 

Alongside the photo, the chart-topping singer wrote on Instagram: “One year ago today … 

“Dear Ben, Sitting here alone/Looking at my ring ring, Feeling overwhelmed/It makes me wanna sing sing, How did we end up here/Without a rewind, Oh my/This is my life.”

Jennifer signed off with the hashtags Dear Ben Part II and This Is Me Now, as she added another sweet photo from their wedding day as she shared a kiss with the Batman star under a sky full of purple and pink fireworks. 

The singer seemed to be teasing a new album and a new song in the post, potentially following on her from 2002 album This Is Me…Then. This Is Me Now would mark her first album in nearly a decade. 

The album featured a track titled Dear Ben, a sweet love song Jennifer created during their first engagement. 

Jennifer and Ben first fell in love in 2002 on the set of the movie Gigli and the whirlwind romance saw the pair set their sights on a September wedding the very next year. 

However, the wedding was canceled with the pair initially blaming excessive media attention on both of them for making it too stressful and they were believed to be planning a quiet, intimate ceremony instead. 

Unfortunately, Ben and Jennifer announced they were splitting up just a few months later and both Hollywood stars went on to marry other people and raise their families over the next two decades.

But 17 years later, after Jennifer welcomed twin sons with her ex-husband Marc Anthony and Ben was co-parenting his three children with Jennifer Garner, they reunited. 

While the pair haven’t explained exactly how they reunited, JLo hinted her new album will take fans on that 20-year-long journey as she told Today in May. 

Also during that TV appearance, Jennifer’s mother, Guadalupe Rodríguez, claimed the credit for their reunion saying she had “prayed for 20 years”.
