gave his fellow metalheads the biggest surprise over the weekend.

He joined fans in the mosh pits of Pantera and Metallica's LA concerts on Friday and Sunday.

In a video captured on Tik Tok from the Sunday show, the 44-year-old raised his arms, high-fived fans, and cheered as the band started a song.

Then, the six-foot-four-inch actor started pushing through and bumping into fans in the mosh pit.

Momoa went around a few times until he visibly lost steam and exited the pit off to the side.

The Aquaman actor posted about the night on his Instagram

Momoa got to go backstage and meet his idols, but he didn't forget to FaceTime his friend Travis Snyder, who is battling leukemia, or to thank those who've donated to the victims of the Maui wildfires

In his post, he took several screenshots of his call with Snyder while he posed with Metallica's James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett, Robert Trujillo, and Lars Ulrich.

In other shots, he posed with Rage Against the Machine alum Tom Morello and members of Pantera.

The Baywatch actor also posted a video from Pantera's set and panned to the crowd.

The  alum wrote in the caption: “This was a dream for travis and Unfortunately we had some emergency for him last night but he’s good and healing. Still needs your aloha and mana. But im so thankful for @metallica for connecting with him. You guys are the soundtrack to our lives [sic].”

Metallica commented on Momoa’s post, writing: “Always a pleasure to have you join us.”

According to Consequence, Momoa entered the mosh pit on the Friday show too and met up with his musical idols and other celebrities backstage.

John Travolta, Mötley Crüe's Tommy Lee, actress Adria Arjona, and Vanderpump Rules star Tom Sandoval all hung out backstage at the heavy metal concert.

Momoa has professed his love of heavy metal many times.

In 2018, he told Metal Hammer he built Aquaman out of songs by Tool and Metallica.

He said: "Aquaman's pretty metal. I know no one thinks that, but Aquaman's metal. I kind of build my characters off of metal songs. Conan (The Barbarian) was really heavy Pantera, I'd say Aquaman was probably mostly built out of Tool and (Metallica's) Kill 'Em All. Ticks and Leeches, if I want to get specific. There's a lot of Sabbath in there too."

In 2020, bass became his favorite when he got one-on-one bass lessons from Primus’ Les Claypool.

Momoa's also has a pretty impressive instrument collection.

He's even jammed out with his Justice League co-stars Ezra Miller and Gal Gadot.

Metallica is currently on their M72 World Tour, supporting 72 Seasons, their 11th studio album that dropped in April.

The North American leg kicked off in early April and runs until Sept. 1.
