Yemeni social media influencers have taken to YouTube and TikTok to share a series of videos of from the cargo ship seized by Houthi rebels in the Red Sea.

Among the shared content, one clip captures a group of men dancing excitedly on the ship's top deck.

Mustafa al Mumari and Abdul Rahman al Joubi, self-proclaimed comedians with significant online followings, are the creators behind the posts.

Al Joubi, boasting over 42,000 YouTube followers, features prominently in a video filmed inside the Israeli-linked Galaxy Leader ship.

In the footage, he holds what appears to be an emergency phone to his ear and addresses the camera.

The group of young men then exit the lift and go upstairs to the ship's top deck where they laugh and joke together.

Another video circulating on X reveals a line of men dancing on the ship's deck, some holding rifles and three proudly displaying the Yemeni flag. The origin of this particular clip remains uncertain.

Al Mumari, previously detained by Houthi members in December 2022 on charges related to freedom of expression, can be seen in a separate video on a beach with the ship in the background.

The influencer then travels to the Galaxy Leader on a smaller boat before appearing on the massive vessel's deck.

In a mix of satire and commentary delivered in Arabic, Al Mumari joeks that the ship will be sold to generate funds for Yemen.

He also calls on Israel to cease its actions in Gaza, cautioning that ships may continue to be seized if perceived injustices persist.

Towards the end of the video, Al Mumari, along with two others, is seen smoking shisha on the ship.

This content is definitely a step away from the usual actions of Houthi rebels and the ship's hijacking, which occurred on November 19.
