All the huge Hollywood actors spotted on picket lines - from Kevin Bacon to Hilary Duff

Some major Hollywood stars have already joined the picket line after SAG-AFTRA announced thousands of actors will be going on strike last week.

The Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) has rocked Hollywood with its decision to go on strike at the same time as the Writers Guild of America.

Some huge names in the biz have already started showing their support for the movement, and many more will undoubtedly join the protests over the coming weeks.

As the strike heads into its second week, Daily Express US can run down the growing list of major film and TV stars who have already been spotted.

Kevin Bacon

Footloose star Kevin Bacon is one of the most recent stars to join the picket line as he was snapped.

“I think AI is a huge issue,” he told The Associated Press.

Bacon also listed “transparency” and a “basic wage” as things the strike is fighting for, and said he was showing support for “working class” and “middle class” actors.

Christian Slater

Heathers star Christian Slater also joined the strike in New York on Monday.

His next project, The Spiderwick Chronicles for Disney+, wrapped filming before the strike in January this year.

However, Slater’s collaboration with Zoë Kravitz on her directorial debut, P***y Island, is likely on hold as filming began in June.

Francia Raisa, Hilary Duff and Tien Tran

Hilary Duff was spotted walking the picket line in Los Angeles on Monday.

She was joined by her friends and How I Met Your Father co-stars Francia Raisa and Tien Tran - the sitcom sequel recently wrapped up its second season on Hulu.

Duff was even filmed singing along to What Dreams Are Made Of, her iconic pop song from The Lizzie McGuire Movie.

Fellow sitcom star Danny Pudi from Community has also been protesting, joined by Charley Koontz, best known as ‘Fat Neil’ from the college comedy.

Awkwafina

From mermaid magic to twisted superheroes, star of The Boys Jack Quaid has reunited with some of his co-stars to show his support. 

His striking cohort included Aya Cash, Colby Minifie, and Claudia Doumit, some of whom will be returning for a fourth season of the hit Prime Video drama.

Marvel star Mark Ruffalo has joined the movement and even urged his fellow stars to reject Hollywood studios in favor of indie films.

“How about we all jump into indies now?” he tweeted over the weekend.

“Content creators create a film & TV-making system alongside the studio & streaming networks? So there is actual competition.”

Actor and director Olivia Wilde also joined the strike in New York City amid uncertainty over whether the Directors Guild of America (DGA) would also be joining the picket lines.

Movie buffs may also see the likes of Cillian Murphy, Robert Downey Jr and Emily Blunt on strike after the cast of Oppenheimer walked out of the film’s premiere in solidarity when the strike was announced last week.

There's no word yet on how long the strike could last with Mission Impossible star Tom Cruise even sitting on a negotiating session back in June.

Cruise also hoped to urge regulation on AI content and conditions for stunt performers.
