Recorded on Tuesday, December 5, the supposed rocket landed in Israel following the end of a short truce between Israel and .

The pause began on November 24 and was extended twice before it fell apart, with heavy bombing and civilian deaths mounting in the stricken Gaza Strip.

Each of the warring sides blamed the other for the collapse of the truce by rejecting terms to extend the daily release of hostages held by militants in exchange for detained Palestinians.

Hamas has also purportedly launched rockets at Israel since the war broke out on October 7, in which Hamas militants killed 1,200 people in Israel in an unprecedented attack.

Israel's retaliation has laid waste to much of the Gaza Strip, with attacks also carried out in the West Bank.

The United Nations has approved data released by Palestinian authorities which say more than 15,000 people have been killed in the conflict so far.
