How Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, William and Princess Kate will celebrate Halloween

Historically the British Royals are said to have avoided partaking in any activities beloved by the public. However, the younger royals are getting into the spooky season.

and have been clear that they want their kids to have as "normal" a life as possible, so it looks like Halloween fun is on the menu for the ‘Cambridge Crew’.

Although historically the are said to have avoided partaking in any activities beloved by the public that could be considered "gauche," the new generation of royals are bucking the trend and joining in the trick-or-treating fun.

Last Halloween, Princess Kate was pictured standing outside the large black gates of one of her neighbour’s homes with Princes George, 10 and Louis, 5, and Princess Charlotte, 8.

The neighbour was in fact former Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone’s daughter Tamara Ecclestone and her husband Jay Rutland.

It was Jay who posted the picture of Kate and her three children who appeared to be holding bags of candy in a bid to show the world what good parents the future King and Queen are. He wrote alongside the picture, “For anyone doubting how down to earth William and Kate are… This is Kate with her kids knocking on our door in London trick or treating at Halloween.”

Will and Kate live in the same Kensington area of London as Tamara and Jay, making their home an easy stop on their trick-or-treating route. But whilst the latter couple own an impressive $84million mansion, the Cambridge family reside at Kensington Palace Apartment 1A, is said to worth a whopping $767 million.

Last year wasn’t the only time the family were spotted getting swept up in the excitement of Halloween, back in 2019 an eagle-eyed shopper spotted Kate with Charlotte and George looking through a selection of kids’ costumes, some of which cost as little as $7.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and also love getting into the spirit of spooky season with their kids Archie, 4 and Lilibet, 2.

Meghan revealed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show a while back that she and her husband were far more into Halloween than the little ones, “We wanted to do something fun for the kids, and then the kids were just not into it at all,” the Duchess said.

She also shared that she dressed Archie as a dinosaur when he was a toddler but he would only keep it on for “about five minutes”.

It's no secret the Sussexes love Halloween, it’s been a part of their relationship since the early courting days.

Meghan also revealed to Ellen that whilst Prince Harry was visiting her in Toronto where she was filming suits, the newly dating couple went to a Halloween party with Harry’s cousin Princess Beatrice and her partner Jack Brooksbank.

“The four of us snuck out in Halloween costumes to just have one fun night on the town before it was out in the
world that we were a couple,” Meghan said.
