Berry's visit to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia served a dual purpose: attending the film festival and scouting locations for the film. She emphasized the global scope of the project, with plans to feature locations rarely seen on screen.

Maude v Maude will be directed by Roseanne Liang, with a script by Scott Mosier, and produced by Berry's HalleHolly production company, alongside Jeff Kirschenbaum and Joe Roth's RK Films. The start date for production remains unspecified.

Berry is also set to appear in The Union with Mark Wahlberg and The Mothership with Omari Hardwick, both slated for release in the upcoming year.
