Guns N Roses have been forced to cancel their concert tonight (Saturday 9 September) in St Louis, Missouri due to illness.

The iconic Welcome To The Jungle rockers were due to perform at the city’s Busch Stadium alongside The Pretenders this weekend.

However, the band and the St Louis Cardinals - the stadium’s home baseball team - released a statement on Friday confirming the show would not be going ahead.

The message, posted on X (formerly Twitter) read: Gunners, the concert scheduled for St. Louis on September 9 has been postponed due to illness.

“Hang on to your tickets – fans who are unable to make the rescheduled date will be eligible for a refund. Thank you for the support.”

There has currently been no further explanation as to what has happened, including the severity of the illness or who has fallen sick.

However, the cancelation comes just a week after Guns N Roses frontman Axl Rose, 61, apologized to fans for his performance in New York.

Hinting he had fallen ill, Axl wrote on X: "My apologies I was a little horse.

"Fun night, Great Crowd!! Great Venue!! N’ great to be back!! Again my apologies and thank you!!"

Currently, there has been no confirmation as to when the rescheduled dates will be.

They are next due to play at the Thompson-Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tennessee on Tuesday, September 12.

Dirty Honey will be their supporting act.

From there, they will be performing at Hard Rock Live on Friday in Florida

The band currently have tour dates running through to mid-October.
