Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist celebrated their engagement with an intense kiss but as the Golden Bachelor dipped his wife-to-be, things took an awkward turn.

After being awarded the final rose in the debut season of The Golden Bachelor Theresa Nist was crowned the winner of Gerry Turner's heart and became his fiancée.
The soon-to-be-wed couple have since made multiple television appearances to discuss their TV appearance, relationship, and wedding plans.
They most recently attended a Variety event with a screening of the ABC reality series, Q&A, and a reception.
Gerry and Theresa looked happily in love as they sat next to each other and answered questions in front of a large crowd.
As the evening came to an end, the loved-up couple stood up and kissed as they received their applause.

However, their passionate embrace took an ungraceful turn as Gerry chose to dip Theresa after catching his breath.
As there was a chair in the way the unrehearsed dip didn't look as elegant as hoped.
Instead of pointing one leg directly in the air, the 70-year-old was forced to spread her legs while lifting one in a strange bent position.
They quickly brushed it off as the crowd continued to cheer their romantic display of affection.

With the Holiday season in full swing, Gerry and Theresa have begun to unite their families in hopes of celebrating Christmas together.
Gerry took to Instagram to give fans a glimpse into their blended family as Theresa was photographed with her daughter Jen Woolston and Gerry's daughters Angie and Jenny.
They were all smiles as they sported matching sweatshirts which read: “A Very Gerry Christmas.”
Taking to the caption, Gerry wrote: “Going to be a very Gerry Christmas with Theresa and our blended family.”
