"It's a Show? It's a Lifestyle. It's a Religion."

That’s what Rory Gilmore – lead of Netflix's hit comedy-drama series reboot of Gilmore Girls – said sarcastically about The Donna Reed Show.

Cult fans of the favorite comfort series would say it unironically about Gilmore Girls.

Now that the leaves are changing and falling to the autumn winds, girls are trading in their shorts and sandals for scarves and sweaters, and ditching hit summer shows like Love Island and movies like Mamma Mia! for their favorite fall comfort shows like Gilmore Girls, where a small town girl from Connecticut takes on the world with her single mother Lorelai.

Gabrielle Williams (@gabby.jaye on TikTok) – who bills herself as the “original Disney movie food series creator” – shared with her 2.1 million followers her take on Stars Hollow’s local diner owner Luke Danes’ pumpkin pancakes topped with a creamy cinnamon butter recipe.

Step One: Add ingredients to bowl

She says to add the pumpkin purée, milk, melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to a large mixing bowl. Mix all the ingredients together until fully combined.

Step Two: Add more ingredients to mixture

Next, she says to add the flour, baking powder, pumpkin spice, cinnamon, ground cloves and salt to the wet mixture. Then stir until just fully incorporated, however, she warns not to overmix and says it’s ok if the batter is a little lumpy.

Step Three: Prepare skillet pan for stovetop

Place a large skillet over medium heat. She says you can also use a griddle.

Step Four: Add melting agent of choice to skillet pan

Next, you need to add your choice of butter, non-stick spray, or oil to the pan and let it melt, so the pancake mixture doesn’t get stuck to the skillet pan.

Step Five: Add batter to skillet pan

She says to pour about a quarter cup of batter into the pan, and allow it to cook for two to three minutes on each side. She says when you see small bubbles forming on the top of the uncooked side, you’ll know it’s ready to flip.

Step Six: Make your cinnamon butter

Add all your ingredients – a stick of butter, half a cup powdered sugar, one and a half teaspoons cinnamon, two tablespoons honey, half a teaspoon vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt – to a mixing bowl, then get a whisk, preferably an electric mixer, to make your cinnamon butter to top your pancakes.

Step Seven: Add toppings and serve

Once all of the pancakes have cooked, pile them high on a plate. Then you can add your topping preferences as the cherry on top of your perfect fall meal.
