A former adult film star specializing in films geared towards gay men has been sentenced to prison time for his role in the January 6 insurrection in a failed attempt to illegally keep Trump in power.

The Miami Herald is reporting that Steven Miles of Zephyrhills, FL — located just north of Tampa — pleaded guilty to a felony charge of assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain law enforcement officers. His sentencing is scheduled for February 9, 2024.

According to the official narrative issued by the United States Department of Justice, the former adult film star confronted Capitol Police officers, then began shoving and trying to punch them, on January 6, 2021.

After assaulting police officers, Miles and his co-defendant, Matthew Lebrun, 33, of New Orleans, went into the Capitol building to smash a window of the Senate Wing Door and then entered the Capitol through the broken window.

The broken window was subsequently entered by a series of other rioters.

Miles was arrested in Zephyrhills on April 12, 2022.

During his plea, he reportedly showed no signs of remorse before Judge Jia M. Cobb.

"In the 33 months since Jan. 6, 2021, more than 1,100 individuals have been charged in nearly all 50 states for crimes related to the breach of the U.S. Capitol, including more than 400 individuals charged with assaulting or impeding law enforcement, a felony," read a statement from the U.S. Attorney's Office.

The U.S. Attorney's Office confirmed that their investigation into the January 6 riots is still "ongoing."

The Proud Boys are an exclusively male neo-fascist movement originated in the far-right magazine Taki.mag in 2016, taking its name from a song from the 2011 Disney musical Aladdin, Proud of Your Boy.

Since its emergence ahead of the 2016 presidential election, the Proud Boys movement has been declared a terrorist organization in both Canada and New Zealand.
