It followed the lives of six friends in their 20s living in New York, as they navigated the ups and downs of life.

The show became a massive hit when it first landed on screens in 1994 and would go on to keep fans entertained until the early noughties, with re-runs still remaining hugely popular years later.

Before the cast dropped their tribute a source told British news channel GB News: "They are reeling about the death of Matthew Perry, they say that he was their brother, and that they fiercely protected him through some of his toughest times.

"They believe that this is incredibly unfair, according to one of Lisa Kudrow's friends, and no one saw this coming because they felt like he was in a really good place that he had one of his best years."

Matthew sadly passed away at his home on Saturday, October 28. He was found unresponsive in his jacuzzi after playing two hours of pickleball at the Rivera County Club near his home in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles.

Authorities reportedly uncovered no illegal drugs at his home and also didn't find any evidence of foul play.

An online record has the status of Matthew's cause of death currently listed as "deferred" since it's "pending additional investigation."
