A British cook has shared a three-ingredient crispy chicken recipe that has been described as a cinch to prepare in the air fryer.

The all-time favorite dish is one many wish they could recreate within the comfort of their home, but the prospect of deep frying a chicken can be intimidating.

Thankfully, TV chef Jamie Oliver has discovered a simple way to prepare the meal using just three ingredients to create a tasty and crispy coating.

The chef garnered a lot of interest for his cooking method after discussing it on his TikTok account, labeling the “most delicious air fryer chicken".

He also shared the full recipe on his website, where it rated it as “super easy” as it takes a mere 40 minutes to make from start to finish.

All cooks need to whip up the recipe is four medium chicken thighs, boneless and skinless, as well as olive oil BBQ seasoning, and breadcrumbs.

Jamie likes to pair the dish with corn on the cob, but the chicken will work beautifully with any vegetable of your liking - or some chips.

The cook starts by laying the chicken thighs in a single layer on a board or tray, before dusting them all over with barbecue seasoning.

Next, sprinkle the breadcrumbs on top. The chef notes that it’s important to “press the crumbs onto the chicken thighs so they stick".

Once the chicken is coated, pop the thighs into the air fryer for a single layer and drizzle them with a bit of olive oil, or use an oil spray if you have one.

Now, it's time to cook the chicken in the oven. Jamie suggests cooking the meat for 20 minutes at 180C, flipping the thighs halfway through.

After 20 minutes, the cook adds his corn on the cob to the air fryer, thereafter cooking for another 10 minutes alongside the chicken.

He advises: “Once the time’s up on the chicken, place the corn on top and cook at 180C for 10 minutes, or until beautifully golden and cooked through, bringing the chicken to the top halfway through.”

The recipe on the cook’s site mentions that it was carried out in a 4.2-liter air fryer, meaning results may vary based on the size of your gadget.
