A mechanic has revealed five of the most expensive vehicles his garage works on in terms of maintenance.
The experienced technician’s tell-all video published via TikTok garnered 6.5 million views one day after its original upload — reflecting drivers’ curiosity about vehicle budgeting.
This TikTok clip’s mechanic, Sherwood Cooke Jr. — owner of Royalty Auto Service (@royaltyautoservice), said he generated his answers by crunching data based on all of his shop’s service over the past two years.
Sherwood Jr. says the fifth-most expensive brand his garage maintains is Volkswagen, clarifying that the company’s average repair order at his business exceeds $1,000.
BMW registered fourth place on this auto boss’ list.

He added that, like Volkswagens, his shop witnesses many BMWs experiencing oil leaks — a defect he considers common within European vehicles.
The third-most expensive vehicle Sherwood Jr. and his staff maintain are Ram pickup trucks.
In addition to oil leaks, Sherwood Jr. reports that his shop regularly repairs these trucks’ motors and lifters.
This clip’s experienced technician lists Land Rover as the second-most expensive auto brand his garage maintains.

Sherwood Jr. said: “I don’t know where to begin with these things. They have lots of engine problems, coolant issues — there’s just tons of problems with those vehicles.”
This TikTok ends with Sherwood Jr. listing Jaguar as the most expensive automaker his company maintains.
He adds that his business’s data reflects the average Jaguar repair costs to be over $1,500 due to oil leaks, engine issues, electrical problems and suspension-related breakages.
