The well-known motoring YouTuber Doug DeMuro has taken a look at some of the coolest hidden features found in the latest version of the Chrysler 300C, calling it the end of the V8 sedan.

Doug has gained almost 4.8million subscribers, thanks to his videos in which he reviews a mixture of the latest models and rare classic cars.

In a recent video, Doug took a look at the final edition of the popular Chrysler 300C, noting that many owners may not be aware their car features heated front seats.

He explained: “There’s the simple act of turning on your heated and cooled seats. You’ve got to go into the infotainment screen to do that and it’s not really obvious where they are.

“Now, I say that because you can actually move around the placement of the heated and cooled seat controls in the infotainment system. Instead of a simple button you just push a moveable control in the [infotainment] touchscreen, not ideal for ergonomics.”

In the video, Doug explained that to access the feature, which can help to warm up motorists quickly on cold mornings, drivers have to go into the Apps menu on the infotainment screen.

There, they will find two icons that show a side view of the driver and passenger seat; however they can be moved around by the user.

The YouTuber highlighted that the overall age of the car, which was last substantially updated in 2011, means the technology found in the model is no longer the latest.

However, Doug also told viewers that some aspects of the interior have some unusual features, such as two cupholders that can help to keep coffees warm or smoothies cold.

He added: “Interestingly, despite some of the shortcomings in this interior, it should be pointed out that this 300C heated and cooled cupholders.

“You can turn them on by pushing this button here with a snowflake or the little heat lines if you want to heat or cool your drinks while you’re driving around. Certainly an interesting touch and a nice luxury feature.”

Finally, getting outside the Chrysler, Doug noted that the minimalist rear end means some owners may not be aware of the subtle trunk release.

He said: “You’ve got this smooth rear end design, which doesn’t leave any space for them to hide a trunk popper, so they’ve integrated them into the third brake light.

“You can see over on the right this little black button, that pops the trunk open, and on the left that’s the backup camera, both hidden in the third brake light, which frankly is kind of a clever place to put them.”
