A heartbroken mother whose 19-year-old Israeli daughter was shown being abucted by Hamas terrorists in a video two months ago said each moment she is apart from her “is an eternity in hell.”

“You have seen the video of my daughter Naama Levy. Everyone has,” Ayelet Levy Sachar wrote of the shocking footage which went viral online.

In a devastating account in The Free Press, she spoke of the horror of knowing the perpetrators of the October 7 attacks are her captors.

“She is seriously injured,” she said. “She is frightened. And I, her mother, am helpless in these moments of horror.”

Naama is among 17 young women still being held by Hamas, and had been staying at Kibbutz Nahal Oz on the day the terrorist group launched a wave of attacks on civilians in Israel, killing around 1,200 people and taking about 240 captives.

Sachar says she received a chilling final call from her daughter at around 7 a.m. that morning in which she told her: “We’re in the safe room. I’ve never heard anything like this.”

Footage filmed by Hamas showed the teen being dragged out of the back of a jeep at gunpoint, barefoot and with her hands tied in bloodied clothes, before being shoved back into the vehicle.

The horrific video emerged the day after her abduction, but Sachar says she barely recognized the woman she saw in the clip in her bloodied condition.

Naama’s dad later called and confirmed that it was indeed their daughter.

The teenager dreams of a career in diplomacy and worked as a member of the “Hands of Peace” delegation, a non-profit that promotes peace between Israeli, Palestinian and US young people, her mom said.

She continued: “But now, one video, totally unrepresentative of the life she had led until October 7, is how the world knows her.”

Sachar that while Naama is still a prisoner “each minute is an eternity in hell,” as she watches news coverage revealing the appalling living conditions for Hamas’ captives, and allegations of rape and violence against women.

“The same monsters who committed those crimes are holding my daughter hostage,” she wrote.

A short-lived ceasefire at the end of last month saw dozens of hostages and Israeli prisoners swapped, giving relief to families after weeks of desperate uncertainty, but Naama was not among them.

The distraught mother referred to the fact that on Monday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that Hamas is refusing to return female prisoners as “they don’t want those women to be able to talk about what happened to them during their time in custody.”

“Everyone knows exactly what he means,” Sachar wrote.
