'Crazy plane lady' rebrands as an influencer with glossy 'empowerment' message

The woman shocked and scared passengers when she launched into a tirade on a plane, claiming one of her fellow passengers was "not real".

Now Tiffany Gomas, a Texas marketing executive, is rebranding as a glossy influencer focused on "empowerment".

In a new image posted to Instagram, Gomas appears relaxed and casual, sporting a wide smile, flowing hair, and bare feet. The image, shared on Instagram, has already garnered thousands of likes and positive feedback from her admirers.

She wrote on the accompanying caption: "One moment doesn’t define you; but it can define your purpose.”

The glamorous appearance and positive vibes in the selfie have made a noticeable impact on her followers. One user even exclaimed, "Woman of the year 2023!" expressing their admiration with a heart-eyed emoji.

But not everyone was impressed by the move. One wrote: "She’s posted five pictures in the past two years and all the sudden shows up after the plane incident that captivated nationwide attention primped and primed to the tens, using mental health as her niche. (...) What a way to become (Insta) famous."

Another said: "Wait so now she is monetizing all this after acting like a victim in her last video?"

Gomas is also launching a new website on the back of the viral incident, sharing the news in an Instagram video.

She told her fans: "I apologize and take accountability for my actions, they were uncalled for. My very worst moment was captured on video.

"Although the memes have been amusing, the flipside has been cruel. I’m thankful for my friends and family for supporting me through this.

"This experience has been life-altering and I hope to do good from it and promote positive mental health. Stay tuned!"

Gomas concludes the video by inviting viewers to join her on a journey focused on promoting positive mental health and standing up against cyberbullying.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Gomas, standing in front of her $1.6 million Dallas home, she said: "My life has been blown up. It’s frightening. Things go viral and everything changes.

“No one knows anyone else’s story, and no one should judge. No one knows what it’s like."
