With all the cooking and baking that happens in a kitchen, crumbs and oil spills are bound to be in the mix. That’s why this Costco deal is a win. For just $9, you can get a pack of 12 Swedish dishcloths from the retailer in-store.

The sustainable dishcloths are super absorbent and can be washed and reused for a myriad of things – from washing dishes to cleaning surfaces like appliances, countertops, wood and more.

The Frank Lloyd Wright Swedish Dish Cloths come in different designs, and can also be purchased online for a bit more money. They feature aesthetically pleasing geometrical prints in shades of peach, lime and beige.

Swedish dishcloths have quite an interesting history. It’s said that they were invented by a Swedish engineer in 1949, whose goal was to make them inexpensive and long-lasting while also reusable and biodegradable.

Like trying to swap out plastic bags for reusable ones or using paper straws in lieu of plastic ones, the paper towel alternative is meant to be eco-friendly and sustainable.
