A brave climber, Dani Arnold, 39, made a heart-stopping climb of 6624ft no wider than his shoulders.

The daring ascent took place on Kreuzberg mountain in eastern Switzerland.

The alpinist, who is known worldwide and has broken several speed-climbing records, was filmed scrambling up the razor-thin ridge with long drops on either side.

He said: "What's very unique is the big size of this piece of rock. It was amazing to climb it."

Dani, who completed the climb with fellow mountaineer Michi, 55, added: "I enjoyed it very well. You're so exposed when you're up there. Every rock is unique but it's nothing very very special."

He added: "I would say that it's fairly rare."

He chose the route because he had never done that particular climb before.

Dani explained: "The climb took me one day including the approach. I chose it because I had never done it before."

In 2015, Dani achieved the fastest solo ascent of the North Face of the legendary Matterhorn, completing it in just under two hours.

He still holds two out of the three records for climbing the North Face of the Matterhorn and has broken several other records across Europe.
