Christie Brinkley shared an innocent selfie this week and was left with a bad taste in her mouth after seeing cruel comments from trolls.
Christie Brinkley, 69, showed age was just a number on Wednesday as she took to Instagram to share an incredible natural selfie.
The supermodel wowed in the sweet snap, showing off her famous glossy pout and ageless appearance.
However, Christie has been left with no choice but to hit back at trolls who used the comment section to criticize her.
She wrote on Instagram: "Downtown Girl …Update: Whoa Nelly! The Wrinkle Brigade is out in full force in the comment thread!
"They are the people that scan celebrities' pages, hoping to find some cellulite, wrinkles, or anything that they can point to critique.
"It must be some form of compensation for something they are lacking. But when those people appear, there are others who pop up with messages that are so kind and valuable.
"Those are the comments that restore my faith and make my heart sing! Thank you, sweet souls.
"PS I don’t have hair on my chest obviously( I thought!) Iphone has a tendency to create weird things in the shadow. But so what if I did? Have a great day My Friends!" (sic)
Fans rushed to the comments to stick up for the supermodel in the wake of the ageism row.
