Chick-fil-A fans have been left "gutted" after a popular menu item was removed.

The popular fast food chain said goodbye to its honey pepper pimento chicken sandwich last month.

The seasonal sandwich made waves with patrons stating they were ‘addicted’ to the cheesy and spicy sandwich. Several customers took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to mourn its absence.

One user said: “NO, it was the only thing I’ve been getting at Chick-fil-A, I don’t even know what to get anymore.”

“Woke up from sleep thinking about the discontinued pimento sandwich from Chick-fil-A,” another added. “I am not OK.”

A third even went as far as to say they would be boycotting the food chain until the beloved sandwich was brought back as a permanent item. "Boycotting Chick-fil-A until they bring back the pimento chicken sandwich,” they said.

Others agreed, "I'm eating at Raising Canes until Chick-fil-A brings back that Honey Pepper Pimento sandwich."

In response to a tweet asking for the sandwich’s return, the official Chick-fil-A account said: “Thanks for reaching out! The Honey Pepper Pimento Sandwich was a seasonal menu offering available for a limited time at participating locations.

“We have no news to share about its return at this time, but you can visit (our website) to learn about all our menu updates.”

The pimento sandwich was initially brought onto the menu on August 28 as part of the restaurant’s fall menu. It was a variation of the Chick-fil-A sandwich, which is a permanent menu item.

It was created by Chef Stuart Tracy who wanted to make something with a "sweet and salty balance".

He said: “With our custom-made pimento cheese and specially sourced jalapeños, we hope to deliver a new and exciting sandwich our guests will love.”
