Celine Dion braved the spotlight once more, attending Katy Perry's show in Las Vegas amid her ongoing battle with stiff-person syndrome.

After a hiatus for health reasons, Celine Dion has returned to the public eye in Las Vegas.

The legendary singer was recently spotted in the audience during the closing night of Katy Perry's show at the Resorts World Theatre.

It's the same venue where Celine had to unfortunately scrap her own show two years prior.

Her appearance attracted more buzz than even Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's presence at the event.

Celine's attendance, amidst a star-studded crowd, marked a significant step back into the limelight.

Celine was seen enjoying Katy’s penultimate Las Vegas residency show, appearing cheerful amidst the crowd.

The 55-year-old vocalist took a seat in the VIP area, joining Meghan and Harry, during this uncommon public appearance amidst her health challenges.

Celine disclosed her diagnosis of Moersch-Woltman Syndrome, known as Stiff-Person Syndrome (SPS), last year. This disorder is a scarce neurological affliction, known for triggering agonizing muscle contractions.

Celine's appearance at the concert wasn’t entirely unexpected, as she had previously stepped out to a hockey game at T-Mobile Arena earlier that week.

It was a night of national pride for the Canadian songstress, watching the Montreal Canadiens take on the Las Vegas Golden Knights. According to Variety, Celine even shared photos on her Instagram from the event and met with the players post-game.

John Katsilometes, from the Las Vegas Review-Journal, pointed to Celine's presence at Katy's show as a sign that she might resume her residency at Resorts World.

“Dion was seen dancing throughout the show, giving fans and officials more confidence she can return to the stage in 2024,” he wrote.

Celine had been prominently featured as part of the inaugural roster for Resorts World's 2021 opening, highlighted in a widespread TV campaign.

However, in October of the same year, the resort disclosed that medical issues would prevent her from beginning her November residency and fulfilling early 2022 engagements.

It wasn't until the following December that she publicly disclosed her battle with stiff person syndrome, and by May she called off her world tour.

“It’s not fair to you to keep postponing the shows,” Celine told her fans. “It’s best that we cancel everything now until I’m really ready to be back on stage again… I’m not giving up… and I can’t wait to see you again!”
