Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion will be making the live debut of their raunchy new track, Bongos, at the VMAs this week.

The annual MTV award ceremony - which has been home of history-making performances including Britney Spears’s snake dance - will be held on Tuesday (September 12) at New Jersey’s Prudential Center.

Cardi and Megan - who earned a smash five nominations for their iconic track WAP back in 2021 - will be performing together again to promote their new single, which dropped on Friday.

Much like their past explicit song WAP (shorthand for Wet A** P***y), Bongos is a celebration of their backsides and the exploits they get up to in the bedroom.

In the music video, the pair were seen on a beach performing seductive routines, showing off their butts as they twerked to the camera in thongs, and displaying their killer figures in swimsuits.

The appearance is part of a long-held collaboration with the awards show and Cardi B, who previously presented on the show and teased the VMAs with a glimpse of her first child with Offset, Kulture, only to reveal a Moon Man award instead.

For Megan, the performance will hold a particular poignance as her first major appearance since the sentencing of Tory Lanez, who is now serving 10 years for the shooting that resulted in Megan left with shrapnel in her feet.

This year’s ceremony, which kicks off Tuesday evening, will see Cardi B and Megan join a star-studded performing line-up including Demi Lovato, Doja Cat, Fall Out Boy, Shakira and Olivia Rodrigo.

It’s already been announced that Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs will be performing for the first time since 2005 as he’s awarded the Global Icon Award.

Shakira will receive the coveted Video Vanguard Award - a lifetime achievement award initially introduced in memory of Michael Jackson.

Presenters will include Emily Ratajkowski, French Montana, Ice Spice, Jared Leto and Rita Ora.

Nicki Minaj will be emcee of the event and will also be performing.
