Britney Spears, 42, has decisively ruled out any possibility of reconciling with her estranged father, Jamie Spears, even in light of his deteriorating health and recent leg amputation.

This firm stance comes after enduring what she describes as unimaginable hurt during the 13-year conservatorship controlled by her father, which was terminated in November 2021.

Despite sharing a throwback photo on Instagram featuring her father, a source close to Spears clarified that this gesture was not indicative of any softening towards her father.

The insider emphasized to DailyMail.com that Spears' inclusion of the photo was solely because she cherished the memory with her son, not as a signal of reconciliation with her father.

The photograph, taken in 2008 in Los Angeles, coincides with the year Spears was placed under the conservatorship.

In her memoir The Woman in Me, Spears has recounted the alleged abuse by her father, who she claims viewed her as merely a source of income for the family.

She detailed instances of being monitored constantly and accused her father of threatening legal action if she refused another rehab stint in 2018.

Spears has accused her father of financial mismanagement and other abuses, with allegations supported by court documents and statements from former FBI special agent Sherine Ebadi.

The legal battle between Spears and her father continues, with a trial set for May. Her attorney, Mathew Rosengart, has rejected Jamie Spears' request for legal fee coverage related to the conservatorship, describing him as an 'alcoholic and gambling addict.'

Jamie Spears' health has recently been a topic of concern following a leg amputation due to a severe infection, as reported by TMZ.

He underwent five unsuccessful surgeries before the amputation decision was made.

Jamie Spears had assumed complete control over Britney's life in 2008, following her mental breakdown.

Britney Spears' first Las Vegas residency, Piece of Me, began in 2013 under her father's conservatorship and became one of the most successful in the city's history. She canceled her second residency, "Domination," citing the need to care for her father.
