Britney Spears is dropping major truth bombs in her upcoming memoir, The Woman In Me, and now one of her video music directors is weighing in on her Justin Timberlake relationship.

Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears were THE couple of the early aughts.

But in her upcoming memoir, The Woman In Me, Britney is revealing that their relationship was not as perfect as it may have looked on the outside.

Following an abortion that “haunted” her and unfaithfulness from both of the pop stars, Justin apparently ended their relationship with a two-word text while Britney was hard at work.

In February 2002, Britney was on the set of the music video for Overprotected: The Darkchild Remix, where she was ready to “power through” the rigorous dances scenes over the two day shoot, director Chris Applebaum revealed to Page Six.

Britney was everything the director wanted her to be and definitely had an “X factor.”

“There are those people where there is something inside of them and you don’t know where it comes from — it’s like an ‘X’ factor. That’s what we saw with her,” Chris told the publication.

“I was so happy that this person who was the biggest star in the world was everything I wanted her to be and then more.”

But towards the end of the shoot, Britney disappeared.

Chris says he found her in her trailer sitting on the floor with her legs crossed and her make-up smudged, and in tears.

“I can’t believe it. Look it. This happened,” Britney said as she showed Chris her Flip phone.

What Chris saw was a two-word text from Timberlake that simply said, “It’s over!”

Following the devastating news, Britney was hesitant to finish the shoot of her music video.

“If you don’t have it in you, I totally understand … but if you want to go out there and finish this last set-up in the rain, you can show him that he just made the biggest f—ing mistake of his life,” Chris said to encourage her.

“You know that? That’s a good idea,” Britney replied before adding, “I’m going to show him that he blew the best thing he ever had.”
