Britney Spears fans fear singer has psychiatric condition after more concerning posts

Britney Spears' fans are worried that she might be suffering from a rare mental health condition.

The 41-year-old pop star, who was famously freed from her 13-year-long conservatorship in 2021, has been posting more frequently on Instagram since her release.

Often, Britney can be seen dancing in revealing outfits or even posing nude and her increased activity and behavior have raised concerns among her loyal fan base.

A group called the Akathisia Alliance for Education and Research has speculated on Twitter about Britney's mental state, suggesting she may have a condition where patients can't stay still.

"Please watch our latest video for evidence that medication-induced #akathisia may be at least partially to blame, and share it so that it may reach people who can help Britney."

One person responded to the tweet saying: "This makes sense and explains much of her erratic behavior." However, others urged them not to comment on Britney's health.

A second person wrote: "Leave Britney alone."

Another added: "I've never seen any videos of her acting like she has Akathisia but I just am not into Spears. Yes, it's terrible but unless you talk to her you won't know if she had restlessness, inability to sit still, pacing, etc. How can anyone know these things?"

The Cleveland Clinic describes Akathisia as "an inability to remain physically still".

They note on their website: "It's a movement disorder that's linked to certain types of medications, especially antipsychotic medications. People with akathisia feel an intense and uncontrollable need to move - mainly, their lower body."

Britney's latest Instagram saw the singer leave very little to the imagination as she posed in several steamy positions.

Posing in pink underwear, Britney moved her hands all over her body while showing off her brand-new push-up bra from Victoria's Secret.

In some shots she was lying on her side in the pink underwear, then in others, she zoomed into her face, and was on her knees on top of the bead.

In the caption, she wrote: "I finally found a bra from Victoria’s Secret that doesn’t hurt !!! I love a push up bra but I don’t like padded push up bra !!!

"This bra is genius … it pushes you up and there’s no padding !!! Also it’s silk !!! I don’t even feel like I’m wearing anything and it’s a pretty color too !!!" (sic)
