Billionaire Rihanna’s clothing brand Savage x Fenty ranked worse than the notorious fast-fashion company in an ethics report by a global advocacy organization.

Although the group, Remake, released the fashion accountability report earlier this year, it only recently went viral on social media with fans reporting feeling “disappointed but not surprised.”

The company, which launched in 2018, received a 4 out 150 point rating, outranking the notoriously unethical fast-fashion company Shein, which received a 14. The average score for the 58 companies included in the report was 58.

The company’s low rating came as a result of “utter lack of transparency and accountability in all of the assessment categories,” ranging from working conditions to environmental harm.

Although the We Found Love singer founded the company five years ago, she stepped down earlier this year from the role of CEO after giving birth to her second child.

Remake wrote that the superstar's brand "blatantly disregards industry standards when it comes to social and environmental disclosures, merely noting on its website that products are imported.”

It also notes that most of its products use oil-based synthetic materials, with the brand making no public declaration that will work to reduce its carbon emissions.

The company was also fined $1 million by Santa Clara County and four other California local governments for allegedly defrauding consumers.

Thirty-four-year-old Rihanna officially became a billionaire last year with her estimated net worth hovering around $1.4 billion, making her America’s youngest self-made female billionaire, according to Investopedia.

While Savage X Fenty has been praised for its size and race inclusivity, it has also received backlash for poor quality and “shady” subscription service, which some report wouldn't let them cancel their services and continued to charge them.

Customers have increasingly noticed that fast fashion companies and designer brands alike use synthetic fabrics, which has led consumers to question the price tag of certain brands.

The company did not respond to Daily Express US requests for comments about the rating or lawsuit.
