Beyoncé is far from being merely a luminary in the entertainment industry.

She can now also put political influencer on her list of accomplishments.

While she may not have ambitions to enter the political arena, Beyoncé can still claim a stint as an honorary mayor on her career highlights.

Recently, the mayor of Santa Clara, California, designated Beyoncé as the ceremonial mayor of the city.

In addition, she was given the city's key before the performance of her Renaissance Tour on Wednesday.

According to Daily Mail, the Santa Clara City Council unanimously decided to temporarily bestow the mayoral title upon Beyoncé.

The current mayor of the city is Lisa Gillmore. The title change was symbolic and lasted just one day, aligning with her concert performance in the municipality.

"The city of Santa Clara is excited about Beyoncé's upcoming visit to the world-renowned Levi's Stadium," spokesperson Michelle Templeton explained.

"Her concerts will certainly bring a great deal of energy and excitement."

The city issued a formal statement honoring Beyoncé, highlighting her exceptional influence as a defining figure in contemporary culture.

The document also enumerated her remarkable milestones, such as clinching 35 Grammy Awards.

Earlier this year, her well-received Renaissance album set a new standard by making her the record-holder for the highest number of Grammy victories.

Located in California's densely populated Bay Area, Santa Clara reported a population of 127,647 in the 2020 U.S. Census.

Beyoncé hasn't publicly responded to the news about her forthcoming symbolic mayorship. She isn’t the first to hold the honorary title as Taylor Swift previously enjoyed similar recognition.

This isn't a first for Beyoncé either; Atlanta and Minneapolis celebrated the ex-Destiny's Child performer with special honors during her tour stops.

Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour initiated its journey on May 12 in Stockholm, then swept across Europe for a month before launching its U.S. chapter the previous month.
