This is the moment two grizzly bears engaged in a violent mating battle just meters away, leaving onlookers on a tour boat shocked and disturbed.
Vanessa Obran and her husband John were on a bay tour in British Columbia, Canada when the tour boat passed by the gruesome scene.
The conflict started when the couple spotted two bears mating on the shore.
The situation escalated dramatically when a jealous male bear sprinted across the shale, attacking one of the mating pair and pinning it to the ground.
Captured on video by Vanessa, the shocking incident lasted an epic 17 minutes.

During the confrontation, the two bears inflicted severe injuries on each other, tearing chunks of flesh with their teeth and paws.
The battle even spilled into the water, intensifying the distressing spectacle for the onlooking tourists.
Vanessa, from Australia, explained: "While filming, the violence made me feel physically sick to the stomach. I love bears so much, and the violence was so hard to watch.
"There are parts of the video that I don’t watch now as it is distressing."

She further explained the abrupt shift in the scene with the sudden eruption of a violent conflict over mating rights.
Despite the disturbing nature of the encounter, Vanessa acknowledged the rarity of such events and felt fortunate to have witnessed it at the right time and place.
