“All I can say is that it’s an excellent reflection of what it is to know a person in real life. They are all those things simultaneously.”

However, Neil Newbon (Astarion) directly confronted the request saying the easter eggs “are not important”.

He shared: “It’s more like what you want to do in the game because of how wide the sandbox is.

“It’s more about what was your experience. It’s not really about that, yes there’s lots of stuff in there if you take certain actions but ultimately it’s how the player sees the story, what is your choice and that’s what is right for you.”

But not everyone on the cast shared Neil’s ideals, as Tim Downie (Gale) proudly declared exactly who he believes would be the “perfect romance option” for the beloved wizard he plays.

Tim said: “Well it’s Tara without a doubt!” referring to the owlcat who appears on rooftops selling magical items and has been almost lifelong friends with Gale.

The actor explained, getting more exasperated on behalf of the tired wizard: “That’s his goal, he just wants to go home and read a book by a fire!”
