American Airlines have announced new routes and extra services from Miami
Including their direct flight from Miami to the Bahamas, American Airlines have announced a range of new routes out of Florida this Winter.
Miami International Airport will play host to seven new routes this winter.
Starting on February 3, American Airlines will be the only airline to fly direct from Miami to Governor’s Harbor in the Bahamas.
When running at full capacity, the airport will be averaging more than 140 departures per day.
This winter some of the intoxicating, international destinations reached from Miami that will see increased daily flights include the
beautiful Caribbean island of Anguilla and Bridgetown in Barbados from December 20-January 7.

The popular Winter-Sun destination of Cancun will be served by six flights a day from Miami from December 20 to January 7.
You can fly to Colombia’s stunning town of Cartagena, a World Heritage Site, from December 5 - April 3 and the incredibly-diverse island of Costa Rica from December 20 - January 7.
The domestic market will be opened up too with a year-round daily service to the progressive city of Portland in Oregon and Sacramento California on November 5 and December 20 respectively.
There are also going to be seasonal services between November 11 and March 30 to destinations such as:
- Buffalo, New York
- Cedar Rapids, Iowa
- Lexington in Kentucky
- Wichita, Kansas
- Wilmington, North Carolina
If you’re a regular flyer from Miami to the following, you’ll have the
opportunity to chose from more flights between December 20 and April 3, 2024 to the following:
- Milwaukee, Wisconsin
- Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
From December 20 - January 7, there will be five flights a day to the musical mecca of Nashville, Tennessee and to Denver, Colorado, there will be three flights a day from December 20- April 3.
The airline is also going up the schedule for those flying to San Antonio, San Diego and Seattle from Miami to twice daily from December 20-January 7.
