The 3.4 oz (100 milliliters) rule for liquids on flights is always a challenge. If you’re going away for more than a couple of days, you are going to need more than a 3.4oz bottle of shampoo and moisturizer.

TikToker Mary Futher (@madamesweat) came up with the perfect solution. She’s the founder and owner of Kaia Naturals, a Canadian company that produces award-winning products made with plant-based ingredients.

She says that many of the ‘essential’ toiletries we need come in block and powder form.

In her very distinctive round tortoiseshell glasses with matching necklace, Madame Sweat opens her video displaying a very compact, hanging toiletry bag with the title of the video.

She said: “Here are three tips to get you through security with a toiletry bag at the airport”.

Her first tip is to “Ditch the razor.  You don’t need one. Almost all hotels have them at the front desk or the concierge."

When you’re on a camping holiday, for example, you will want to pack that all-essential dry shampoo.

She said: "Make sure it’s all powder. Don’t even bother to take an aerosol."

The last suggestion is the most obvious - and convenient, though we may not have necessarily thought of it, or even know that they all exist.

“Replace all your liquids with bars. Shampoo bars, moisturizing bars, and yes, a regular body bar”.

“Genius, no more liquids”, she said. “Lush has them all”.
